Water trucks for fire stations in South America

Customisation is our speciality, but nowhere does our experience with tanker conversions serve us better than in the delivery of water trucks in South America. TVW Fuel Trucks has spent the past several years giving a dozen tankers a new lease on life with South American fire brigades.

The vast and varied landscape of Argentina and Paraguay may be a feast for the eyes, but it also poses a special challenge for the local fire brigade. There are few – if any – water reserves available for their fire engines to use in remote or difficult-to-reach places. Therefore, local fire brigades use water trucks in addition to fire engines. They provide much needed (extra) water during a firefighting mission.

An average ADR truck has a capacity of 20.500 litres. The perfect receptacle to serve as a water truck. Not surprisingly, after some searching and making the right connections, the fire brigade ended up at TVW Fuel Trucks. The extensive fleet of both larger and smaller tankers ensured that any demand could be met. This was soon followed by a visit to the demo car park, an introductory meeting, and the first order for a water truck.

In the meantime, some ten converted tankers have already been shipped to South America. TVW Fuel Trucks always took care of the complete extension of the petroleum installation so that only the less radical work had to be done on-site. Other provisions, such as adding an extra connection, were also carried out by TVW if requested.
