With two fast-growing companies, Germ Wiersma needed ADR trucks that were available quickly, if not immediately. TVW Fuel Trucks offered him the ‘golden solution’ with nearly new trucks delivered within a month.

Germ Wiersma is the fifth generation of the Wiersma family to be active in the two family businesses: Wiersma Olie & Techniek BV – active in the wholesale of fuels, lubricants, and filter technology – and Future Fuels Wholesale BV – focused on the import, sale, and distribution of high blends and pure biofuels, in particular, the renewable, high-quality diesel fuels. Looking for a quick solution for new ADR trucks, the two companies from the north of the Netherlands turned to the Belgian company TVW Fuel Trucks.

Large range tailored to the customer’s needs

Germ Wiersma (DGA of both companies) needed new ADR vehicles due to the companies’ accelerated growth process. “Since the production and lead time of ADR vehicle manufacturers can easily amount to at least 12 months, a new ADR vehicle was not an option for us. We found the golden solution at TVW Fuel Trucks: newer previously owned tankers that could be delivered at short notice.”

A quick solution was provided on two occasions. “The oil trade is bigger in Belgium, so there are more trucks available here,” says Wiersma. “However, the vehicles still need to be adapted in order to drive in the Netherlands because the laws and regulations are different. But TVW Fuel Trucks offered a solution to this, too, with their customised solutions.”
